Biographical Notes: Minnie Berlin, who was Mrs. Samuel Marx, a.k.a. Minnie Palmer Marx, was born in 1864 and came to the United States from Germany. She was the mother of the famous Marx brothers actors and comedians, Chico, Groucho, Gummo, Harpo, and Zeppo. She was a well-known vaudeville player in her day. She died of a stroke, in New York City on September 13, 1929.
