Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Glen Jones was a studio employee and actor circa 1914-1915.

Biographical Notes: Glen Jones, a black man, was a studio employee and actor with Thanhouser during the 1914-1915 period. At one time he worked closely with Mignon Anderson, and when he became the father of a child in 1915, the infant girl was named Mignon Anderson Jones in honor of the actress. Many years later, grown up and known by her married name, Mignon Anderson Porteé, she attended "Thanhouser Night," a retrospective of Thanhouser films and history conducted by the author at Iona College, New Rochelle, on October 7, 1988. She related that for many years Mignon Anderson sent her letters and gifts.

Note: Could the following pertain to the Thanhouser player? Variety, November 6, 1929, carried this account: "Dallas, Nov. 5: Ordered out of his automobile by two masked men claiming to be prohibition agents, Glen Jones, concession operator with the Wortham Shows, was fatally shot as his terrified wife huddled in the car, untouched. Police advanced a revenge theory, as neither money nor jewels were taken. Shooting occurred near El Paso, where the Wortham Shows played."
