ARNOLD, Lois * .

Actress (c. 1916-1917?)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: At one time Lois Arnold was an actress for Thanhouser, according to a listing in the 1918 edition of the Motion Picture Studio Directory.

Biographical Notes: Lois Arnold was born in 1877 in St. Augustine, Florida. Early in her career she was on the stage and had her own vaudeville act. Later, she appeared as a character actress on the New York stage, in It Is to Laugh, Quicksand, and, in 1930, Overture. Her screen career included playing character parts for Biograph, Thanhouser, Famous Players, Fox, and Frohman.

The 1917 and 1918 Motion Picture News Studio Directory issues noted that she was 5'3" tall and had a dark complexion. At the time she was represented by Kirmmse, Inc., 105 West 40th Street, New York City. Lois Arnold died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 26, 1947.
