JORDAN, Adele Ramona

Studio employee (1912-1914)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Adele Ramona Jordan was a Thanhouser studio employee from 1912 to 1914.

Biographical Notes: Adele Ramona Jordan, whose nickname was "Dell," was the telephone operator at the Thanhouser studio from 1912 until she resigned in October 1914 to get married. Her last day at the studio office was Friday, October 16, 1914. Dorothy Watson took her place the next morning. Adele Jordan was among those attending the Thanhouser employees' outing on September 7, 1912. The New Rochelle Pioneer, October 17, 1914, printed this society note: "The announcement had been made of the approaching marriage of Adele Ramona Jordan, the genial telephone operator at the studio for three years, to William de Bruycker, of Mount Vernon, on November 7, a full report of which will be found in the next issue of the Pioneer. Loosen up and take a piece of change to Frank Grimmer for 'Dell's' present, because you won't want to be missed."
