KRAUS, Charles *

Actor (1915)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Charles Kraus appeared in a Thanhouser film in 1915.

Biographical Notes: Charles Kraus was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1866. He was a prominent actor on the stage and appeared in such productions as Kreutzer Sonata, Escapade, The Mad Dog, Martinique, Allegiance, Pom Pom, and, in 1929, in Airways, Inc. Kraus was at the Thanhouser studio briefly and was seen in the 1915 release of Love and Money, in which his wife also appeared. Charles Kraus married Camille Dalberg (born in 1881), a well-known stage and film actress. Kraus died in New York City on July 12, 1931.

Note: The Thanhouser actor is not to be confused with Charles Krauss, a French film actor and producer who died in 1926.
