ANDREN, John .

Executive, studio employee (1912-1915)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: John Andren was treasurer of the Thanhouser Company as early as 1912. He was a "hands-on" executive, for the May 5, 1912 issue of The New York Dramatic Mirror noted that he did carpentry work for the settings in the film, Jess. He remained with Thanhouser for the next several years. In New Rochelle city directories his occupation was listed as a stage carpenter. In 1911 his home address in New Rochelle was 48 Walnut Street. From 1912 to 1917 he lived at 53 Walnut Street.

Note: His surname was misspelled "Andrew" in some notices.
