DIAMOND, Joseph *

Actor (1915-1916)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Joseph Diamond was an actor at Thanhouser's Jacksonville studio in December 1915 and early 1916.

Biographical Notes: Note: Variety, September 8, 1943, printed an obituary for Joseph Diamond, age 51, a former minstrel and vaudeville performer, who died on September 2, 1943 in Rochester, New York. He became a singer in vaudeville at the age of 18 and then toured with the Six Dixie Minstrels on the Keith Circuit. Twenty years before his death he left show business to go into the clothing trade in Rochester. No mention was made of any film appearances. Is this the same person as the Thanhouser actor?
