VERNON, Isabel *

Actress (1917)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Isabel Vernon was an actress with Thanhouser in 1917.

Biographical Notes: Isabella ("Isabel") Vernon was born in 1874. Her early career was on the stage, where she was seen in such productions as Daddy Long Legs, Peg o' My Heart, Uncle Vanya, The Tired Business Man, Cafe de Danse, and Pickwick. She appeared in the 1917 Thanhouser release of An Amateur Orphan. Isabel Vernon remained in films in later years, playing in Polly of the Circus (Goldwyn, September 1917), The Rise of Jennie Cushing (Artcraft, November 1917), Joan of Plattsburgh (May 1918, Goldwyn), and many other pictures through the 1920s. She was married to stage actor Henry Waterman. Isabel Vernon died on April 21, 1930 in New York City.
