SYNOPSIS, Reel Life, August 19, 1916:

"How a young girl reporter, who, when her sweetheart, also a reporter, had been 'framed' by an unscrupulous political 'boss' and sent to prison, turns detective and brings about the arrest of the clique and the release of the youth, is the ever-interesting story about which Getting the Grafters, a two-act Thanhouser-Mutual drama is woven. Doris Grey, in the role of the reporter, furnishes an interesting and pleasing characterization. In her support are Howard M. Mitchell, who starred in The Traffic Cop, a Mutual Masterpicture, released some time ago; John Lehnberg and other members of the Thanhouser-Mutual studios especially selected for this two part feature. Thrills galore have been worked into various of the scenes of the two acts, one in particular which shows the girl speeding back to town in a racing car at night in order to head off the politicians who had gone to the city to establish her identity, being unusually thrilling."
