NATURE'S CELEBRITIES

November 22, 1914 (Sunday)

Length: 1 reel (split with A Messenger of Gladness at the beginning)

Character: Educational

Note: This film may have been related to the efforts of Dr. Raymond Ditmars, of the nearby New York Zoological Gardens (Bronx Zoo), who was the subject of many trade paper articles for his pioneering films of snakes, lizards, turtles, and other herpetological subjects.

REVIEW, The Moving Picture World, December 5, 1914:

"On the same reel with [A Messenger of Gladness]. Excellent close-up views of the African chameleon and the Indian cobra. The first is a droll comedian of the animal world, and the second is very 'shuddery' and at the same time fascinating. A good nature subject."
