ADVERTISEMENT, The Moving Picture World, April 30, 1910:

"The cigars his wife bought were bad - awful bad. What would you expect? A woman cannot buy cigars. How a suffering hubby tried to get rid of the cigars his better half bought him is the story the picture tells, and it's funny enough to make you yell. You need it in your business - because your bill always needs a good laugh picture."

Note: Around this time, Thanhouser often incorporated the synopsis of the film into its advertisements.

SYNOPSIS, The Moving Picture World, April 30, 1910:

"The cigars his wife bought were bad - awful bad. What would you expect? A woman cannot buy cigars. How a suffering hubby tried to get rid of the cigars is better half bought him, and the mess his efforts got him into, is the story the picture tells."

REVIEW, The Morning Telegraph, May 1, 1910:

"Can one imagine smoking some bargain-priced cigars purchased by his wife? Well, it almost made this poor husband sick, as well as those to whom he gave samples. His wife imagines that he likes them so much that she orders several boxes of them. The story is well told and is very pleasing. The photography is also of a high standard."
