HORAN, Joseph

Studio employee (1915)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: In 1915 Joseph Horan was a property man at the Thanhouser studio in New Rochelle.

Biographical Notes: The New Rochelle Pioneer carried these items: April 10, 1915: "Latest reports from the hospital has it that Joseph Horan, property man at the studio, blown up when explosives caught a spark from a battle scene staged by Jack Harvey, is making rapid progress toward final recovery. He was severely burned, but care is bringing him around all right." May 1, 1915: "Joseph Horan, property man, who was severely burned in a pyrotechnic explosion when Their One Love was being filmed, has recovered and has left the hospital for his home in Tuckahoe, and will soon return to the studio."
