CADWELL, Arthur A.

Cameraman (1912-1913)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Arthur A. Cadwell was a cameraman for Thanhouser in 1912 and 1913.

Biographical Notes: Arthur A. Cadwell was among those in attendance at the Thanhouser outing of September 7, 1912. In December of the same year he went to the West Coast with a company of Thanhouser players, and early in 1913 he filmed several Thanhouser productions in Southern California. In 1913, Charles J. Hite transferred him and Director Lucius J. Henderson to Majestic. In March 1914 he went with Henderson to the California Motion Picture Company.

The cameraman was mentioned in Jean Darnell's "Studio Chat - From the Inside" column in the December 1913 issue of The Photoplay Magazine: "Arthur A. Cadwell, cameraman with the New Majestic Company in Los Angeles, won the second prize with his Stutz racer at the recent 500-mile road race in California. Cad feels so puffed up' he thinks he is walking on air."
