SULLIVAN, C. John ("Jack") *

Actor, assistant director (1914-1915)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: C. John ("Jack") Sullivan, Jr. appeared in Thanhouser films in 1914 and worked as an assistant director at the studio in 1915.

Biographical Notes: C. John Sullivan, Jr., known as Jack Sullivan, appeared in several films in 1914, after which he became an assistant director to James Durkin. He remained with Thanhouser until early summer 1915, when he went to Famous Players, where he continued to work under Durkin.

Note: C. John Sullivan, Jr., the Thanhouser actor, is not to be confused other John or J. Sullivans, including: 1. John Maurice Sullivan, who was born on September 24, 1875 in Washington, D.C., and who died on March 8, 1949. 2. J. Francis Sullivan, born in Boston, who appeared in dozens of stage roles over a period of many years, including The Belle of New York, The Prince of Pilsen, The Girl From Paris, The French Maid, 1492, The Telephone Girl, Panhandle Pete, and Me, Him, and I.
