BAUMAN, John M.

Cameraman (1915-1917)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: John M. Bauman was a Thanhouser cameraman circa 1915-1917.

Biographical Notes: Born in New Milford, Connecticut, John M. Bauman was educated in New Haven in the same state. Early in his career he was a mechanical engineer, after which he went into films as a cameraman for Edison. In 1915 and 1916 he was a cameraman on the Thanhouser staff, and worked in Jacksonville and New Rochelle. He was 5'9" tall, weighed 130 pounds, and had dark hair and green eyes. At the time his home was at 149 High Street, Mount Vernon, New York, not far from New Rochelle.
