JOB, Herbert K.

Cameraman (1915-1916)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Herbert K. Job furnished film footage of wild birds for the 1915 Thanhouser release in the United States of The Spirit of Audubon and for two films released in 1916 in Great Britain (but possibly not in the United States) by Thanhouser Films, Ltd.: Wild Birds at Home, Ex-President Roosevelt's Feathered Pets, and Egrets and Herons.

Biographical Notes: Herbert Keightly Job was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1865. He was a freelance cameraman who specialized in nature photography and who did much work for various Audubon societies. At one time he went on expeditions to Louisiana and Florida with Theodore Roosevelt to study birds. He photographed wild birds for the 1915 Thanhouser release of The Spirit of Audubon. Job died in Delmar, New York, on June 17, 1933.
