Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Peggy Reid appeared in Thanhouser films over a period of several years, including the 1913 release of Carmen in which she played Mercedes.

Biographical Notes: Peggy Reid was an actress with American Biograph in 1912. By 1913 she was with Thanhouser in New Rochelle, for whom she played minor parts during the next several years, until at least 1915. The Photoplay Magazine, July 1915, mentioned the actress: "Peggy Reid (Thanhouser) does much to make the popular Thanhouser films even more popular than they have been. Graceful, good looking, and accomplished, Miss Reid's appearance on the screen is always an omen that an interesting picture is to follow, for she makes the smallest part a bit to be long remembered. Her work seems constantly to improve as time passes, and it may not be long until one will see Peggy featured in Thanhouser releases the same as are Marguerite Snow and Florence LaBadie." An interview with her was published in same periodical in September 1913.
