MC CARTHY, Eugene C.

Studio employee (1914-1915)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Eugene C. McCarthy, sometimes known as "Doc" McCarthy, was a stage carpenter for Thanhouser circa 1914-1915.

Biographical Notes: Eugene C. McCarthy worked for Thanhouser circa 1914-1915, resigning in the summer of the latter year to go to Universal's Coytesville, New Jersey studio, where he became a studio manager. Later, he was an electrician for the Ringling Brothers' Circus and also for the RKO-Proctor's Theatre in Mount Vernon, New York. Injured in an accident in 1933, he was an invalid until his death on June 5, 1941. He was survived by his widow and two sons.
