CUNNINGHAM, Arthur **

Actor (1915-1916)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Arthur Cunningham appeared in Thanhouser films in 1915 and 1916.

Biographical Notes: Arthur Cunningham was born in San Francisco in 1888. Early in his career he appeared in many stage and vaudeville productions, including a long period on the road on the Orpheum and, later, the Pantages circuits. He maintained his interest in stage acting through the mid-1930s, when he left show business to become, of all things, a bail bondsman. He was an actor with Thanhouser in 1915 and appeared in numerous Falstaff comedies released in 1915 and early 1916. Arthur Cunningham died in San Francisco on November 29, 1955. His wife, Edith, had died 12 days earlier. He was survived by two daughters and a brother.
