THOMPSON, Madeline *

Actress (1914)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Madeline Thompson, young daughter of Thanhouser actor and studio manager David H. Thompson, appeared in Thanhouser films in 1914.

Biographical Notes: The Evening Standard carried the following in its July 28, 1913 issue: "Miss Madeline Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Thompson, 130 North Avenue, gave a party to about 20 of her little friends from New Rochelle and New York City Friday afternoon to celebrate her third birthday anniversary. There was a beautiful, delicious birthday cake. Miss Thompson lighted the candles on it, then blew them out, cut the cake, and served it to her guests. There were pretty favors also."

In her adult life Madeline Thompson pursued a career as a screen and magazine writer and married Jack Sher, a writer. She died in Hollywood on July 20, 1964 and was survived by her husband, a son, and a daughter.
