Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Joseph Burke was an actor with Thanhouser in 1915.

Biographical Notes: Joseph Burke was born in New York City in 1884. He followed a stage career, and during his early work was seen in musical comedy and vaudeville. Among the plays in which he had a part were Turn to the Right and The Student Prince. He is believed to have entered films with Edison, later going on to play comedy and character roles for Powers, Pathé, Reliance, Famous Players, Ivan, Kleine, Rolfe, and Metro, in addition to his work for Thanhouser. Joseph Burke died in New York City on December 17, 1942.
