ANDRADA, David ("Dave") * .

Actor (1911-1914)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: David Andrada was an actor with Thanhouser from at least 1911 to 1914.

Biographical Notes: David DeCosta Andrada was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 27, 1865. He followed a stage career and appeared with Fanny Rice in Horse and Horse and The Student Prince, in revivals of Robin Hood, in The Jayhawker, and in Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. In 1908 he was on tour as both the stage manager of and actor in The Vanderbilt Cup. Other stage productions in which he appeared from the 1890s onward included Dorothy (with Lillian Russell), The County Fair, Hoss and Hoss, and Nancy Brown.

For Thanhouser he appeared in various films during the 1911-1914 period, but as he had minor parts his name rarely appeared in credits. David Andrada died of a cerebral hemorrhage in Long Branch, New Jersey on January 3, 1941.
