Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Ed Lawrence appeared in a Thanhouser film in 1916.

Biographical Notes: The Florida Metropolis, February 9, 1916, carried this item: "Ed Lawrence, the much-beloved local [Jacksonville] movie actor, is taking the part of one of the crooks in The Water Devil [working title for Her Father's Gold], which is being produced by the Thanhouser Company here."

Note: The Thanhouser player is not to be confused with Edmund Lawrence, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who followed a stage career and then became a director for Kalem, World, Equitable, Metro and other studios.
